PREAMBLE We, the people of Fort Dodge, in order to secure Continuity, Representation, Separation of Powers, Accountability, and Professionalism in city government, and to insure Justice, Tranquility, Safety, and General Welfare for ourselves and our posterity, have adopted this Charter that the full benefits of government might be enjoyed by all.
